Help! My girlfriend of 3 weeks wants to break up with me :(

I recently acquired a girlfriend and we dated for 3 weeks, but now my relationship is in jepordy. I met her back in december when she was at my school for an interview. She asked if I could help her get to the admissions office, and on the way I told her I was a P2 and I gave her my number so that she can contact me if she has any questions. I heard back from her in mid July and she asked if I knew anything about financial aid. So we met up and talked about it and various aspects of courses she has to take and what organizations she should join at my school. So at the end of the day, I asked if she wants to go on a date with me, to which she aggreed to. So for the next 3 weeks was the best weeks of my life.

We became a couple and I thought I was fixed for life. Then all of a sudden, she text me last night saying that we need to break up 😕. I asked her why and she said that school is starting soon, and that will want to concentrate on school and making new friends instead of being with me. She also admits that she didn't know that we were dating in the first place during the first week because all I did was drove her to our school to get her paper work straighten out.

I was angry and confused at the same time because I thought how she can't be with me and stay in school at the same time! She then offers that we can still be friends and study together, which pissed me off even more. Lastly, she contradicted her self when I check FB this morning and saw she had a conversation with her ex and they plan to get back together! I am so confused and please help me to fix this situation! I don't know if I should be angry or confused, or I should let this go! I feel played!

Dont Know if the post is serious. But you got used and abused, move on. As the old saying goes, all is fair in love and war. Just be glad she only wasted 3 weeks of your life.

Oh my lord. Maybe she dumped you because you don't have a spine.
 
You just met the girl and you thought you were fixed for life? Someone is clearly new to relationships. Also, accepting a date does not mean a person has said yes to a relationship. To her she might have been breaking up with someone she didn't actually think she was "in a relationship" with, that is unless you straight up said "will you be my girlfriend?" and she said yes. I have a tip for you- stop trying so hard. These things come naturally. Don't try to force it. Also, try not to bug her too much when you guys start school.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but that sounds like your first gf ever. You've got to move on and learn a lesson from this experience. There are just plenty of girls like her who will use a trusting boy for their advantage. You should be glad that you've found out how she truly is before you are committed, especially financially. Work hard so that you will become an influential figure in the pharmacy community so that in the future if she will be at your mercy of finding a job as a pharmacist.

BTW, have you scored her yet?

She didnt know we were dating on the first week. After that, she said that yes we are in a relationship. We even had the in a relationship status on facebook. What bothers me is that she is in the process of getting back with her ex. Yes we scored.

Who changes their relationship status after 1 week? Are you sure you aren't in middle school? Are you sure you know what scored means?

I know plenty of girls out there that would have taken advantage of you from the start and use you for MANY, MANY years. Consider yourself very lucky :meanie:

Well after our first dinner I asked if she wants to go back to my place. She said that I live too far and so she would have to drive 1 hr to go back her place if we go to mine. Since I drove 1 hr to meet her (the restaurant is 10 mins away from her place) we went back to her place. We slept together, but at 2 am she woke me up and said that I had to leave because her roommate was coming home and she didnt want her roommate to find out that she was sleeping with a guy. She said that she is the conservative type and that her roommate would tattle on her parents. If that happened, then she would not receive tuition support. So I had to leave, drove 1 hr back to my place, and then decide to text her the next day.

Then I text her in the morning and said:

"hey, I had a nice night with you, I hope we can do it again"

Then she replied.

"Hmmm"

"LOL""

"Hey can you drive me to school so I can submit my transcript the office?"

So that was basically our first week , I drove her to our school, introduced her to some of my friends, and she basically became friends with my friends. After we left for school, she spent a good 10 minutes talking about how hot the SGA president was and asked if he was available.


UPDATE: I text her an hour ago asking if she was using me as a rebound and she said

"LOL, you're a nice guy, but I dont like nice guys. we had fun dating but that doesnt mean I want to be your long-term girlfriends. and i still have feelings for adam (her ex) and I want us to be together once I start school. Honestly I cant see myself with you for long term. Sorry.

So I wrote:

"OK, I see where this is going. I'm going to disappear, it's a big school, so i probably wont see you."

Then she wrote:

"AWWWWWW, but dude, you're like a best friend to me, can we still talk once in a while?


What do I say????????


any suggestions as to how to text back? I dont want to be rebound guy or her best friend.

I text her following poetic silence's advice

I wrote:

"Sorry if our relationship didnt mean anything to you because to me it means alot. I dont sleep with my best friend"

She wrote:

"dude! stop it i told you lets be friends omg you never sleep with another friend for fun? stop living in the 19th century dude"

I wrote:

"forget this i m not going to play this game anymore

She wrote:

"hahahahahaha ok fine. the offer to be friends still stands though bro. good luck"

I absolutely feel like crap. she just changed her facebook status relationship to single, then 15 mins later she is in a relationship with her ex again. 🙁

It is not normal for a THREE WEEK relationship to mean that much. Women are going to keep stomping on you unless you change your outlook. No one likes a clingy, emo dude. Except maybe certain other dudes.

"hey dude sorry i didnt mean to do this to you i was only hanging out with you initially because I want to find out about the school. after that i guess i was still upset that my ex broke up with me so i went out with you to get him off my mind. you're a great dude i still think of you as a friend and hope you wont stay mad at me for long. this has nothing to do with you i just want him back . i m sorry"

Sorry, what I meant "fixed for life" was is that I thought this relationship was heading somewhere good and maybe I wouldn't have the issue of being a nice guy because she accepts me for who i am.

OK but three weeks is not enough time to even be having those types of thoughts. Three weeks is still getting to know each other. Relax and try to be cool when you meet someone. You don't have to look at every girl who smiles at you as a potential lifemate.

I second this. I've had personal experience in this position. I also lacked what AllForMyDaughter referred to as "game." Once I figured out what that was and how to get it, my dating and friend life changed dramatically. I can't tell you how to get it, though. You've got to discover it for yourself.

I am now presented with an opportunity to strike back at her. Texts have been flaring up regarding my situations and our friends. Since she became friends with my friends, they know some things about her that she didn't want me to know. Apparently, her ex broke up with her because she cheated on him and she has had a history of cheating on him and her other exes. She claims that when she gets bored with a relationship she has the need to find a spark to rekindle it, and the only way to do that is to flirt and sleep with other dudes.

Also, her ex doesn't know about me and her dating, and I was given his phone number. I can tell him that what she did to me and he can end this relationship with her because he is giving her one last chance. He also doesn't know about her past except one incident where she slept with a guy. So if I tell him, then something may happen and he may leave her. From what I hear he is somewhat of a decent guy and I don't want her to screw him as well.


What do you guys think?
