Help! My girlfriend of 3 weeks wants to break up with me :(

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Reminds me of that film with the fat guy who was friend zoned by a cheerleader. He ends up becoming sexy and successful and she becomes a total loser and ends up falling for him, but his feelings are no longer for her.

Good comedy. Forgot the name.

Isn't that how it usually goes? The popular partying folks in HS end up college dropouts, while the less popular studious folks go on and get a career. Going from fat to attractive isn't necessarily a part of it, but I suppose that could also happen.

It is. My high school valedictorian is now a mom whereas I'm only beginning to reach my peak.

So according to you being a mom is like the cheerleader who becomes a loser? I can't wait to hear what the other moms have to say about this. 😀

Yeah, like a bunch of the popular partying folks from my high school class either are working low level jobs right now or made it to the front page of the Police Gazette.

Our high school Salutatorian was also a really popular guy, he was like a star athlete on like 4 of our school teams, and super frikking smart. All I know about him is that he ended up going to West Point, and like soon after his senior year in college, he deleted his Facebook, stopped going on chat, and whatnot. I'm pretty sure he made it into some top-level, top-secret, major security clearance, Jason Bourne-level position with the military where he is forbidden from divulging anything about what he does.

Oh, shut up. 🙄

Moms are great, I've dated at least three.

What I'm saying is the woman dreamed of becoming a doctor as much, if not more, than I did. She strayed from that path whereas I'm only gaining momentum.

My class salutarian became a civilian helicopter pilot. I think he does tours in Hawaii now. He's nice too, but not a natural athlete.

I've seen that with my high school. but only from the very few I still talk to. I refuse ot talk to the rest.

Are you guys angry at the popular people in high school? I was part of the cool kid krowd in high school because I break dance. I used to do it to impress a girl one time but she ended up dating a head banger .

Update: Have you ever had one of those days where everything just doesn't work out and people just being plain mean to you today? For example, I drove to taco bell and I was in deep thoughts and a guy cut me off and gave me the finger!

High school is seriously the MOST superfical place anyone can ever be at.

Your worth in high school is based soley on where you live at, what you wear, and what you drive.

If you don't live in a 2 million dollar house, wear only Abercrombie & Fitch, and don't drive at hot BMW...then you are a no body.

Unfortunately real life isn't much different from high school.

One time at band camp, I play the clarinet, and people think I cool because I play good😎

I submit that if you have to troll responses on the internet, then you were never and will never be part of the "cool kid krowd." Though I guess the "cool kid krowd" could have been some lame a** name the losers came up with to feel better about themselves.

This is such BS, you were such a cool kid, but cannot talk or get out of the friend zone with a woman....at all?

I WAS the salutatorian 🙁

The valedictorian was teaching some undergrad classes at a university, but I know he's doing stuff with our local senator and assemblyman too. I'm not aware of anything else notable. I guess I'm doing alright. I'm no secret agent, but I'm probably doing better than many of my classmates who could still be working pizzerias and quick stops.

That's exactly what I'd expect a secret agent to say! You don't fool me for a second, buddy!

The funny thing is, we all expected him to be the valedictorian. There was a big controversy about this at my high school because the valedictorian had opted to take easy-level courses throughout high school, and the salutatorian was taking a lot of hard classes.

For example, Valedictorian was taking principles of mathematics, earth science, during his first year and got a 99 average while the salutatorian was taking Trig and Pre-Calc and Chemistry. Valedictorian took automotive as his shop class which is super easy to do good in, while the salutatorian took Pre-Med/Pharm as his shop class where he had to do Organic Chemistry in 11th grade, WTF? Their weighted averages were like 0.4 points apart too.

Yeah, I kind of had that happen since I took AP Calc while he took AP History, and Physics while he was in Earth Science. It's not that he took "easy" classes, since they were still AP courses, just not quite as rigorous. Only reason I was disappointed is that he was my 2nd board on the chess team, and I was the captain
