help narrowing down schools and when to apply

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would say out with WVU, Kentucky, Louisville, UMDNJ, and Mehary and Howard (if you are not a URM). All the schools I mentioned look primarily at one thing first, residency. In the case of Howard and Meharry it is my understanding that they are looking for candidates who are underrepresented minorities.

Do you have any connections to Tenn?

Also, UoP will be a waste of cash, unless you smash the DAT (21+ next time).

I had this same question in a post a few back. dds4yrs posted something about Louisville I thought was interesting and is a good reason to not take them off your list:

"Louisville will be adding 40 more spots with a lot going to out of state starting this next cycle. I definitely would take off Tennessee, their out of state applicants have to have extremely high DAT scores. I would definitely get rid of those two for sure but would also definitely keep Louisville at all costs seeing they are increasin their class size from 80 to 120."

There are some other comments about schools you had questions about as well so hopefully this helped 🙂

no connections at tennesse, should i remove that one? figured i would give it a shot since they have a significantly less app pool because they are not on AADSAS

Yes, remove.

I agree. Remove Tennessee (im a Tenn resident). trust me, they primarly look at GPA. Im in state and have the same sgpa as you and they said that is the main reason I did not get in; and that was being in state. being out of state you have to be even more competitive.
After interview, they based their acceptances on GPA.
