Hi,
I am currently a 2nd year biochem student in University of Alberta, Canada. I have just gotten an interview for dentistry at the U of A here (Its on March 30th). My GPA is quite decent (3.94) and my DAT score is around average. I just want to get some tips from you guys on how should I prepare for my interview? What kind of questions they may ask? I was thinking of searching for the code of ethics for dentists. If you have any good sources on where I can find related info to read over, it would great!
Thanks for your help!

that's definitely a pretty decent GPA... 👍

I would check out the "interview feedback" page - you'll find some very helpful information from people who have already interviewed. That's also where you will find a pretty good amount of questions that adcoms tend to ask...

Research the school like crazy. Track down alumni magazines and newsletters. Get a good feel for how the school does business. It is very easy to spot a well-informed and well-read candidate.

This may sound strange, but start talking to yourself. Ask yourself questions during your "white space" - time alone in the car, in the shower, walking to class, etc. When practicing with yourself, don't answer questions the same way everytime - completely rehearsed answers make you look sound like an idiot and come off as insecere. If you practice multiple ways to answer a question, when the rubber meets the road, how you answer will be a sincere amalgam of what you practiced.

Best of luck!

March 30th interview😱
I think the most difficult part of interview is the fact that people think it's hard.
Don't take it too seriously. Just be yourself. Relax. Have fun. Make them laugh or smile.

Besides being yourself, and being knowledgeable about the school I found it helpful to do mock interviews through my health career adviser at my school. This gave me an idea of the type of questions they might ask, and an assessment of how I reacted to that question. Try to think of the questions that scare you the most (i.e. What is a mistake that you made in your life, and how did you fix it? or my favorite: "What do you think is going to be the hardest part of dental school?" Ans: Paying for it ). Also, if you do something goofy during the interview laugh it off, I think interviewers like to see that your OK with yourself and that you can recover quickly from a gaffe.

Besides being yourself, and being knowledgeable about the school.

I think this is very important. But don't just say that oh yeah your school is great, clean, good equipments, nice weather....etc. You gotta know something more than what are obvious.
