Hey Awesome SDN-ners,
I have graduated from one of the Top 20 undergraduate colleges according to the U.S News (I know their rankings don't mean too much) with a bachelor's in engineering (AMCAS cGPA 3.75, Science 3.76). I am a Permanent Resident with a one-time MCAT score of 34 (14 PS/12 BS/8 VR). I participated in various extracurricular activities in undergrad:
Internship at a biopharmaceutical company (>500hrs)
Shadowing (100)
Clinical research (>2000 hrs by matriculation in 2015)
President of a student organization
Peer Mentoring (100)
Refugee Mentoring, Student-led service trips (>300hrs)
TA, Grader
I had no luck in my first attempt, so I'm reapplying this cycle.
One of the reasons I personally think I did not get in last year was that I applied to ten schools that were all competitive to get in. This time, I have applied to 35+ schools across the country, ranging from the top to low tiers. Primary was in on 6/27, and most of secondaries were submitted within 2-3 weeks ranging from July to August.
I have been on the verge of losing faith in my capability and wanted to hear your opinions on whether I am good enough to get in somewhere. Any potential strengths or weaknesses you noticed? Any advice?
Thanks so much for your kind help!
