A 3.5 for one semester is not a blemish.
You are most certainly welcome to talk about your experience immigrating to the US at 13 but I would make sure to somehow relate it to how it impacts you today and maybe if it added to your decision to pursue medicine.

So 3.5 isn't really a blemish, though many secondaries will ask for you to explain in grades lower than, say, B+.
Absolutely talk about the immigration experience. Schools eat that up, I say based only some informal talks with my friends who relayed that their immigrant experiences were something that made them unique and interesting. That is potentially a huge leg up for you.
