so i applied for this "Client Service" position at this animal hospital and have an interview with them tomrooow...and well....i'm not quite too sure of what a "Client Service" person's job responsibilites are...or what it even is! haha. but umm yeah...any knowledge about Client Service?? 🙂

Client services positions are usually the first people that clients see, and act as a sort of liaison between clients and people doing the more technical work. At least, at my old IT job, the client services department was help desk, accounts, and other positions that had face-time with the clients but not really much back-end work to do... so I would assume the position is something more in the receptionist category?

Client services usually means "receptionist"

In a few large clinics, it may also be someone who takes a history and distributes meds with additional instructions after an exam...but most of the time it seems to be a receptionist.

Is that for Millhopper vet? 🙂

BTW, I started out at my clinic as a CSR (Client Services Representative, ie Receptionist) and then when a Vet Assistant position opened up, moved into that. So if you are looking for more hands-on animal stuff, keep your eyes and ears open and do a kick ***** job! :nod:

Is it for the SAH? Because I think they just mean receptionist like others already said. If it's for a clinic, it will probably include checking in/out patients, making transactions, and of course answering phones 🙂

umm...no. it's for the UF Small Animal Hospital. so yahhh...i'm really excited && nervous! lol hopefully things will go well 😀

Good luck on the interview

Sorry for the odd (potentially stalkerish) question, I used to live in Gville before moving over here and just know that is what Millhopper refers to their front desk as (didn't realise the vet school did as well).

SAH = Small Animal Hospital

From what Ive seen, Im pretty sure you'll just be sitting at the desk checking clients in & directing them to waiting areas...I dont think Ive ever seen anyone at the desk answer a phone since phone calls usually go straight to the operator. Should be fun, enjoy!

and thanks y'all! i think i did pretty good...so now just waiting for that phone call! :xf:
