Hey guys,

I have a couple question regarding what I should put down in AMCAS.

Should I list working in a fast food restaurant under paid employment. I have worked there for 2.5 years during undergrad. I do not know if it will be looked good upon but I think it is necessary because I have spent significant time there.

Also I have taught couple of times undergrad students in front of a large audience in a auditorium. I want to put it under leadership; however, I dont know what I should put down experience name. I don't want to call it teaching because I have listed that somewhere.

Also I will be doing something throughout summer starting June 1st that is important to my application. is it ok to list something that you have not done but will do for sure certainly?

Your help would be appreciated

Jobs are important, especially if you got some leadership experience out of it(shift leader or something?). Definitely put yours down. It will probably be brought up in your interview.

Maybe title the teaching "Guest speaker"?

I wouldn't include something I hadn't done yet on AMCAS. Maybe mention it in your PS. Definitely mention it in secondaries and interviews after the fact.

Well that job had no leadership. It was basically labor described best. Minimum wage.
Guest speaker. hmm I dont think that is accurate. But good try. I basically did review sessions for class material in front of the whole class.

Yeah, include the fast food job. A lot of people will respect that you did that kind of work, including me (count me as both a Domino's and a McD's alum...)

If u have more than 15 things to talk about, then leave that stuff out. If you don't, then count it in.

99.99% of things can be described in a positive manner, it's all about how you spin it. The remaining .01% is if it's illegal or ethically/morally wrong.

You should ABSOLUTELY list your experience in the food industry...it shows you managed work on top of school. After 2 1/2 years I'm sure you've gained some sort of leadership experience through training new employees or whatever it may be...
