I?m new to studentdoctor but I do need some quick advice, so here it goes: If I do not receive any invites, can I still participate in the scramble? If so, what kind of documents will I need to have at hand in order to send over? Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Don't know, but I suggest you write some emails to programs expressing an interest--can't hurt--and make sure you have someone at school to guide you through this process. If you scramble, you may need someone calling programs on your behalf and helping you strategize, etc. Good luck--hope you get good news before it comes to that!

If you state your specialty, someone may be able to giv eyou more specifics.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume that you can still participate in the scramble. You should definately talk to an advisor at school. You may also want to apply to a few transitional or prelim programs now, so you have options. Many of the prelims have later deadlines than the categorical positions.
