Hi all. I need help, simply put. I'm a junior at a pretty good school on the East Coast. I've taken most of my pre reqs already, but I haven't done as well in them as I had hoped. I just got back my Orgo 1 grade and as it turns out I failed the class. Before it comes up, I do have a reason (besides laziness). I've been struggling with depression for most of my life and it got alot worse in the last couple of years, because of a very negative group of friends, moving half way across the world from my family, etc. It got to the point where I could barely get out of bed, let alone concentrate on my studies. Anyway., my question is,should I even be trying to finish my pre reqs at this point? Or should I just give it up and concentrate on my major (Psychology)?

Sorry to hear that. I would ditch the friends to have a more positive outlook (and believe they are the source of your negativity/depression). I don't think classes are a problem for you. You may have to see your doctor regarding your depression problem, since it is a medical concern. I would take a break from courses right now to avoid further damage. Once you are feeling better, then move on. But first, check with your doctor.
