Help request: cheap place to stay when checking out St. Matthews (SMU)?

Hi,

For people living in Grand Cayman, where is a cheap place to stay to check out the place?

Preferences:

-Walkable to stuff like Seven Mile beach, conveniences, and SMU
-On Grand Cayman
-For a week or two of rental.
-There would be two of us in a room.
-Don't care much about the room itself since will not be spending much time inside the room.

I looked around on the net, and am not too interested in $400/day condos. This is a kind of thing best answered by someone who is actually there.

Hello,

I am a student at St. Matthew's. I would check out Comfort Suites. It is on the beach and looks affordable. I would also check out Sunshine Suites, The Westin, and Treasure Island. All of these places are located on seven mile beach and are less than 10 minutes from the campus. Sunshine suites is adjacent to the school. Let me know if you need any advice on anything else. Have a nice trip!
