Hey guys.
So I just skimmed/read parts of Campbells's ch 19-21 (7th edition..didnt read 18, although maybe i should)
Anyway, I wrote out a brief outline on things I found to be either the hardest for me to understand or just stuff I thought could be worth remembering.
I attached it for all of your guy's enjoyment in case you dont own the book or dont have time to read the chapters before the test.
(I'm also selfishly hoping that this may earn me karma points for my test next wednesday, haha)
Anyway, if you see anything wrong that pops out at you, let me know or just reattach the file with the corrections.
To those who have already taken the DAT, if you wanna be REALLY cool, maybe you can highlight some stuff that definitely jumps out as being worth knowing.
Anyway, good luck to everyone and enjoy!

I re-bought the 7th edition campbell's bio book online for like 30 bucks and out of all my test prep materials I think I am going to keep it. I have this nostalgic feeling reading it. It reminds me when I was first discovering my love for science as a freshman in college. As additional help for this post this information MAY be good to know for your bio test. (cough, cough)

Histones – proteins responsible for the first level of DNA packing in chromatin
Know the charge of different molecules involved and why they are important in primary DNA packing

DNA Microarray Assays: known (single stranded DNA) gene sequences are plated, and then cDNA is made that can hybridize with the sequences. Genes that are fully hybridized are expressed and fluoresce on plate.

Induction
: signal molecules that cause changed in nearby target cells (ie: contact with cell-surface receptors of neighboring cells or binding of growth factors secreted by neighboring cells)

my test is in two hours and I am so freaking glad I decided to look at sdn one last time.
thanks hoylematt!!!! im gonna go look that **** up RIGHT now, along with some piano info as well haha
