MD Help tweaking my school list

Hi everyone,

I’ve been lurking for a long time. I could use help with editing my school list a bit. I used WARS to start but I am concerned that it is unbalanced. I'll be thankful for any comments. Sorry if this type of post is getting repetitive. @Goro @Faha @gonnif

MY APP
MCAT: 519 (131/127/131/130)
cGPA: 3.92
sGPA: 3.95

Background: male, half asian half white, US citizen, MI resident, average state school, dual degrees in computer science and biochemistry

Non-clinical volunteering: 350 hours
Clinical volunteering: hospital (155 hours), health program (36 hours), free clinic (208 hours)
Shadowing: 58+ hours
Other activities: 900 hours as an orgo 1 and 2 university course tutor
Leadership: lot’s of this throughout college in multiple activities (includes president, VP, etc)
Research: 4 different labs (2 summer programs, 2 multi-year experiences), ~2,700 hours, 6 international conference abstracts, 1 publication (5th author), 1 pub under review (I know it doesn’t count yet)
LORs: 6 total (the non-science one is from a lecturer with a MS that is a current graduate student that teaches a lot and taught 2 of my comp sci lectures and 1 of the labs. Still, I assume it will not be seen in the best light but I was kinda in a pickle for finding an appropriate writer)
Other things: I have a withdraw fail (WF) in linear algebra... oops (retaking that right now). I mentioned it a bit in my PS.

NOTES

1. As you can see from my list, it is quite CA heavy. I know that some of them are low-yield but I guess I wanted to try. I’d like to go somewhere warm ideally.
2. I feel like my list is too top heavy. Not sure if this is just imposter syndrome. I don’t really have anything that really stands out like saving villages and whatnot.
3. After looking at the MSAR, I’m a little worried about my low CARS score for NYU, Vandy, Columbia, Yale, Penn, Hopkins (10th percentile for them).

UC Irvine and UCSD accept very few non residents with no connection to the state. You should receive several interviews from your list. You could add these schools:

USF Morsani
