Considering the following ranking for programs...

1. northwestern
2. pittsburgh
3. Cornell
4. UTSW
5. Wash U St Louis
6. Columbia
7. Mayo
8. Stanford
9. Uchicago
10. Rush
11. Cleveland Clinic

is this ranking stupid because im ranking low on "prestige"?
im looking for a residency with good lifestyle/education, so/so on research.
Looking for big-cities as well with good ethnic variety
Planning to either do neurohospitalist/stroke/NCC/epilepsy in a community hospital setting

Wow! Why are you ranking Columbia, Mayo and CC so low! Awesome choices btw.

Also, Pitt number 2! Would love to hear your thoughts on it!

These programs are all good enough that worrying too much about prestige isn't going to have that big of an impact. For a standard resident coming out of any of them, people are going to know you went to a good program. Plus the top couple of picks have great stroke pedigree, although UPMC doesn't yet have a neuroICU staffed by neurointensivists (should by the time you are a resident).
