I currently applied this cycle...late...and with a horrendous verbal score

I luckily had 4 interviews this cycle and have been to 3. Unfortunately, two of them have already waitlisted me post interview...

I'm wondering if anyone knows how fast the waitlist movement is for SUNY Upstate and Michigan State.

I really really really don't wanna retake the entire MCAT for verbal. =/

Hey, no idea, but I'm in the same position. We should have a support group.

3 waitlists here, no acceptances. trying to scrape together ECs for an "update" letter.

I'm in the exact same position.

7 on verbal from the August 2006 MCAT. Waitlisted at NYU, Columbia, Stanford.... waiting to hear from UCI.

I'm currently planning on retaking the MCAT in May.

Good luck.

You got interviews from Columbia and Stanford with a 7 on verbal? Because if you did, there may be some hope for people who suck at verbal (e.g. Me).

the most annoying part about us verbal people is that we cannot verbally express what we do to be good at the section

I don't want to burst your bubbles, but IMO, you might want to consider the fact that he/she might be an international student - someone from Taiwan studying in the States - or URM.

Yes we can: we're just brilliant, brilliant people-born with the gift of gab, blessed by the heavens themselves with the ability to comprehend!

It's either that or because I stuck a fork into the wall socket as a child (and played with mercury [yes, for real]). I think the mercury and the electric shock must have given my nervous system superior verbal abilities, while also damaging my peripheral nerves and making me insane. Oh well, the tradeoffs we make in life.

(sadly my post is only half-joking)

Party pooper...😀 I didn't disregard the fact, but it's nice to know that it does happen. That is, if in fact it did happen. Hence my question.

bump...anyone know about michigan state or suny upstate

I don't know how fast waitlist movement is for Upstate, but I do think the waitlist movement is pretty good at this school. I also remember being told that at the end of April/beginning of May we can call and they can give us some idea about our position on the waitlist. You are on the high priority waitlist, right? good luck....and hang in there 😍

Ha, word is- staring at the sun for long periods of time as a kid (with no eye protection) helps your MCAT physics score. 😱 <- that was me

...man I was a strange kid in some ways. Still have better than 20/20 vision though! 😉

Duke, too..... but I got rejected post-interview. 🙁
