I was looking to get some advice and insight from you guys here. I have been accepted into WesternU at Pomona and University of Colorado Denver (SKAGGS).

I'm trying to make a decision on either school and I've narrowed it down to whichever school would give me the better chance at a California residency (PGY1), preferably in ambulatory care.

Would WesternU give me a better chance because its in California, therefore its rotation sites would be more advantageous or would University Colorado-Skaggs be better because it has 3 hospitals, 2 being top 10 in the nation?

Which school would give me the better opportunity to be competitive for a PGY1?

University of Colorado has a much better reputation and has been around a long time. If you got into both I have no idea why you'd go to Western unless it was significantly cheaper.

I did not realize Colorado had the better reputation.

WesternU is 45k and Colorado is 25k. However, there isn't quite a disparity in price once i figure in living cost (I'm from SoCal, so WesternU will be free)

colorado is way cheaper. western u is super expensive, even with the living cost. only thing u save is living? you'll most likely be eating. gas is more in cali than colorado.
