Alrite, so I been noticing a trend lately in my interviews.

At almost of all of my interviews, my interviewers have been either the dean
or assistant dean of admissions. Its not because there's no other interviewers available, but I seem to be always the one in the group that ends up with THE dean. 😎 but I feel that I would be much more relaxed if I interviewed with a prof or someone that actually practices medicine..

The interviews themselves have been fine and relaxed, but I can't stop thinking why that is? It's so weird.. has anyone else had this experience? Is there an explaination for this?

Thanks all.

Perhaps the Dean really liked you file and so he wanted to interview you personally? Or at least, that's what I tell myself 🙂 It's actaully a good thing. If you impress the Dean, he can fight for you better than if you have a regular professor who's not on the AdCom.

perhaps it means nothing

Probably a coincidence, but.....
If it means anything, I doubt it means they really like your file. I would speculate that it means there is some question about your file or you are right on the line where the Dean may have to make the call himself.
Or I guess it could mean you are a superb applicant and he is trying to gauge whether or not you will matriculate if offered a spot.
Again, most likely scenario is randomly generated coincidence.
