I'm going to graduate high school early next year, and my grades are... ok. Around 3.35-3.5 I'm not interested in American medical schools, since that would require me to take pre-med there also.
I'm gonna turn 17 next year, but my situation here is that I'm NOT currently living in the U.S. and for international students to study medicine there it's quite difficult.
I'm looking into Latin American medical schools, namely the university of buenos aires. The problem is not the language, I'm fluent in spanish. The problem is choosing what to do immediately after graduation.
My parents are comfortable with the idea of me moving to Argentina at only 17years of age. So then I'm probably going to be stuck taking Bio/Chem?phys courses in the local college here - thing is, my two years of studying there would be a complete waste since latin american schools won't accept those credit hours, since their courses are of seven years immediately after highschool.
Should I push to take on medschool next year, or take the 2 year course, even though it wouldn't be accepted. Or those anyone have a better med school option?

I meant to say my parents are Not comfortable with me moving to Argentina. Sorry about that.

I don't know. It really depends on you. Is there a reason you don't want to go to school in America?

I think the first order of business should be this: Do you want to practice medicine in America or in a different country?

No, not america. Most likely europe(spain) or argentina.

You can start medical school straight out of high school? Or, were you referring to beginning premedical studies immediately? Either way, if you absolutely cannot move to begin schooling, and the course near you would be a "waste", why not get involved with volunteering or find a job?

Latin American med schools, like European med schools, are 5-6 yr programs beginning immediately after high school. I think that's what OP meant.
