Help with antibody nomenclature? What is the difference between "anti-hCG antibody" and "hCG antibody"?

@Cawolf sorry to reply to an old thread, but I just came across this antibody named "anti-platelet antibody" and it's function reduces the number of platelets in the body. According to your antibody nomenclature rule, "anti-platelet antibody" should be an antibody that binds to platelet antibody, so the overall effect would increase the number of platelets in the body, not decrease. Am I misunderstanding something here?

But you stated before that

Going with this, why isn't anti-platelet antibody an antibody that binds to platelet antibody?
