Help With Application Essays

Hey everyone!

I've finished my personal statement and research essay and was wondering if anyone would be able to critique my essays. I'm on a pretty tight schedule since I want to submit my application by this Friday. I just want some additional feedback from some SDN gurus before I pull the trigger.
