Hi all,
I am looking for help in choosing the topic of one of my last secondary essays. The prompt is asking me to "discuss a challenging situation or obstacle you have faced in the past," while emphasizing how I handled the situation and reflecting upon what I've learned. I have two ideas, one a bit more personal, and another in a professional environment.
In response A) I would discuss my challenging transition to college and how I was required to support myself through employment. This situation contributed to me failing a class, and I could also talk about the changes I made to address these obstacles.
I could also write about B) a challenging situation I was in as an EMT, where I had to make a rapid judgment call on how to best keep a psychiatric patient from harming themself in my care. I was able to defuse the situation to provide the best outcome for the patient while keeping them safe.
