The only thing I can find diverse about myself is that I'm Hispanic. Should I just write about that? I'm not even sure what to say about it though.

Other than that, I played sports my whole life growing up, every weekend traveled to events for them. Not sure if this is unique or not.

The purpose of the diversity nonsense is to create a superficially heterogeneous student body for feel good PC pseudolegal reasons at the upper levels of university admin. Basically, we need to show that we are admitting people other than straight white Christian males from educated and financially stable homes who have spent their formative years primarily in study with minimal non-academic pursuits. Why is this important to them? What's wrong with being in that group? Good question. But in your case, it doesn't matter. Write a benign non-offensive essay about your Hispanic heritage and you have easily checked off this annoying checkbox.

Do you have empathy for the extra struggles of patients and people of color or would you rather pretend that the disparities are fictitious?
