I know some schools have a upload document feature on their portals (like Tufts and Temple) but I am not sure if letters of interest can be uploaded.

If he is intending to enter medical school in 2013, this is true. If he is intending to enter medical school in any year after the current year, this is false.

I know it is pretty late in the cycle but I either sit here and do nothing or I keep waiting until I hear from the schools. I haven't heard anything from some schools for 5-6 months so I lose nothing by writing a letter to them. Who knows, with some luck maybe I'll get an interview like some folks from previous years.
