I am Senior in high school that recently got accepted to University of Minnesota, I have desires of one day attending dental school but I don’t quite know which major to choose, do most students major in biology or something related to science? And if not what other majors do most dental students go for? (If you guys could share some of your majors that would be great) 🙂

Very common question...

My majors: Math and Bio (I am far more 'active' with the math major)
Most common major: Bio (as far as I know)
What you should major in: Whatever interests you most

There's two sides to this:

1) Major in a hard science to show dental schools you can handle a lot of science and you are interested in a science related field.
2) Major in something else to show dental schools you are a well rounded student. You still end up taking the core science courses.

Either one is perfectly acceptable.

My advice: You want a good GPA and you get good grades if you are interested in what you are learning. Major in a subject you LIKE. Just make sure you take the appropriate pre-reqs (check any dental school website for a list of these - they are about the same across the board).

^^Agreed

most d-schools say major in something you like, and can do well in. chances are if you like the subject, you'll do better in it. any major works, as long as you take the prereqs. i'm an engineering majot just bc that's what i was interested in, and i didn't like the bio program at my school, and so far, it's worked out well.

major in whatever you want. probably a natural science or liberal arts major would be the safest bet. i have a degree in economics. if i could do it over again i think i would choose math or philosophy. not that it would make any difference for dental school.
