Hello. I am originally from the state of "I" and am currently doing a post-bac program in the state of "M". I prefer maintaining my residency in the state of "I," but by the time I will be applying to med school, I will have lived out of state for two years. The med school (in the state of "I") application has a line that asks you, "Have you resided in the state of "I" for the past 12 months?" In this case, does the answer should be no or yes? How do you prove your residency in the state of I after having lived out for two years out of state?
I am enrolled in school in the state of "M" part-time while working part-time. I voted as a resident of the state "I". My driver's license is issued by the state of "I". I looked up some residency requirement but did not find anything about part-time students maintaining the residency. Is there any helpful website to my case? Does anyone have any experience with this kind of residency issues?
Should I move back to my home state right after my two years of living out of state and work full-time in my home state while interviewing with med schools?
