I'm looking for suggestions on how I could change my school list or if it looks fine as is. I used admit.org to make most of the list and added on other CA schools I'd be interested in.
My stats: CA, ORM (Asian male), cGPA 3.85, s GPA 3.83, MCAT 511
Clinical: 300 hours over two years in hospice volunteering + 200 anticipated. Is also my most meaningful experience and a big theme in my application.
Research: About 800 hours of research in 3 different labs with +400 anticipated. (might get 1-2 publications by the end of the year)
Nonclinical:
85 hours + 60 anticipated tutoring a disadvantaged student online.
85 hours as a peer mentor for incoming freshman at my college.
60 hours as a summer camp leader for disadvantaged children.
125 hours as a homeless shelter overnight shift leader.
175 hours as a volunteer at my mosque.
Shadowing: 166 hours across 5 specialties.
Other:
I have about 80 hours of visiting and celebrating Eid with the Muslim inmates at my local prison and making them feel included in our community. Have learned a lot about the perspectives of underserved populations.
Not sure if this makes a difference, but I have a tiktok account where I post aesthetic videos and it's sort of blown up. I have about 2.7 M views and 630k+ likes.
