HELP! WVSOM, NOVA or PCOM GA??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I would select the school that gives me the best education and the best opportunity to succeed in medical school. In regards to psychiatry, I would hold off on putting all your eggs in one basket. I can't tell you how many people, including myself, changed "careers" from the onset of medical school to now.

I can comment on NSUCOM since I attended there. No doubt in my mind, with all the struggles my classmates and I went through, NSUCOM will PREPARE you to be a doctor. How great or good of a doctor you want to be determines how much extra work you are willing to put in. I personally felt NSUCOM gave me a solid platform to jump on. Yet, I would look into the school. They just underwent some faculty changes. I would inquire what changes are being made and how they will affect the students. ASK CURRENT STUDENTS!!!

These are three VERY different schools. Do you want to be in S. Florida, Suburban, GA or in the forests of W. VA? I don't think Psychiatry is a super-competitive field (someone can correct me if i'm wrong). Keep in mind WVSOM is very very primary care focused. Our facilities at GA-PCOM are excellent ( a little biased opinion there). I'm sure any of the three can prepare you to be an excellent physician.

I plan to specialise in psychiatry so WVSOM, NOVA or PCOM, which is right for me? Appreciate inputs.
