Just took the DAT and got a 17 AA and 18 PAT. I thought I did alot better on the PAT, I ended up having plenty of time to do all the questions. Next time I will take more time and hopefully do better. The PAT is not what Im worried about, it's the Science. I got 17s on Bio, Ochem, and Gchem. What is the best method of studying for these? Especially Bio, I am a Chem grad and had no clue on some of the Bio questions. I studied Barron's DAT book and that was it. Is there something better to study? Thanks!

I am also a chem major. I had to study a lot for bio. Kaplan is one the best source. Also, supplementing Kaplan with AP Bio or Schaum's can be helpful.

I would memorize the biology, general and organic chemistry sections in Kaplan's blue DAT book. Also, as Lilith has stated, you may want to get a supplemental study guide for biology as Kaplan doesn't cover a lot of areas all that well. Part of the reason is that the field of biology is so large and diverse, and this necessitates other sources. An additional tip is to browse through this forum and get a feel for the topics that seem to be coming up on the DAT and then hammer those areas in your studying.
