I just finished my 2nd year at mediocroe undergrad
Overall GPA:3.84
Overall science GPA: 3.9+
VA resident
EC: Hospiece volunteer for 2yrs. 250hrs total by end of the semster [also,i am a trainer for upcoming volunteers]
Undergraduate research for a semster. Plan to continue
Hospital volunteer during the summer 80hrs
Will shadow surgeon this summer. 80hrs minimum expected
EMT-b holder
Dean's list for all 4 semster and various scholarships
MCAT practice scores 10V 11P 11B P
I am studying MCAT and plan to take the real one on Aug 8th.

Yeah my EC and leadership really suck.I know i have only a year left, and i really need advices on what to do this upcoming year to increase my chances at UVA and other medical school.

Add some weekly nonmedical community service for a cause you care about, and be sure to shadow a primary care doc and maybe one other specialty besides the surgeon. Don't forget to engage in some hobbies.
