Hey all
I have been reading all the comments on this chat room for about 2 months now....and I wanna say Congrats to all those who made it. I am SOOOOOOOOO pissed....I got my mcat scores back yesterday and I got a 7V, 8P, 9B and R writing sample. My GPA is ~3.4 and I am soooooooooo freaking mad because I bust my a*! studying for this exam.....LIKE ALLL the DAMN TIME. My practise exams were averaged around a 27-28 or so....and I expected that or a few points higher...NOT A F@#!#!@! 24!!! I heard that the national average was a 21/22 this time......the sad part was that I was approved for a secondary from EVMS and VCU, but I don't think they want me right now. Question: I dont' think I have a good shot for next year.......should I still go ahead and send my secondaries?

What does that mean, "I dont' think I have a good shot for next year"? How can you possibly know what you're chances are NEXT year if you're so unsure of your chances THIS year that you feel the need to post a message asking whether you should even apply? You have another full year in which to improve - not just MCAT, which obviously needs improvement, but your entire application. I'm not saying you don't have a chance this year, because there's ALWAYS a chance, slim though it may be. But, odds are you WILL have to re-apply in the future. However, since you've already spent the money and time on the AMCAS, I say just go ahead and send in those secondaries...
