Hi i am new here but i just have a question for people who have already taken the MCAT. during my spring quarter at ucla i have the option of taking my third quarter of physics or taking an upper division cell biology class which focuses on cellular structures and such. I was wondering which on would be better to take since i am planning on taking the MCATs in the summer.

I haven't taken it yet... but i'd recommend teh cell phys/bio class.

from the looks of things, most the physics you need is the first semester/ early 2nd semester anyway...

Take a practice test, see which of the two subjects you're having the hardest time with (concept wise), and go from there... hope this helps.

I would take the physics class. It's a lot easier to teach yourself biological science concepts than it is to teach yourself physics - at least, that's how it is for me. Good luck.

thanx for the reply guys i do have more trouble with physics than with Bio stuff so i probably will take physics especially since another friend said there is a lot of optics on MCATs and that is what our third quarter mainly focuses on.
