hey folks i was wondering if anybody had any rec's for a hem text to supplement robbins. something like lilly for cv or west for respiratory. im looking two possible ones: hematology for medical students or Essential Haematology. any thoughts? thanks

i absolutely loved essential hematology. i thought it was one of the best textbooks i've gotten. i'm keeping it for residency and beyond ...

btw, is west for respiratory good? we have respiratory now and i am debating whether or not to buy that physiology book ...

I disliked Hematology for the Medical Student. It is written in an outline-ish format that is hard to read and there is not that much content that isn't in Robbins. It could be useful for cramming but reading it is just too unpleasant.

I did like West's Respiratory Phys book.

I didn't like West's respiratory phys because it was too detailed, I didn't have time to read it, and our lecture notes were wonderful and more than necessary, so I sold my West to unsuspecting victims. Hee hee.
