Can anyone provide me with contact information to the Chairman and/or PD at HFHS's anesthesiology program. Please just PM me.

I know who they are, and want to get the nod to shadow over there within the next few weeks. The coordinator gal is out of the office for a while....

Also, as far as I know there are no CRNAs over there. Is this true? Can someone shed some light on this program. I'm going to try hard to get a 3rd year rotation set up at HF, if possible.

So, I'll be hanging out with one of the residents OR an attending that coordinates student education, this coming Monday. I'll be spending the day at Henry Ford, and will report back my experiences mainly for the benefit of other med students. I'm pretty excited as I've heard this is a large, but very solid program in my area.

The hospital does use CRNAs, but residents always train under direction of an attending (according to the coordinator I spoke to over the phone).

It's cool, cause the lady that coordinates the program called me back the same day she returned from vacation and was very helpful and willing to allow an MSII to come through for the day. Very cool.

The program director and department chairman are two great people.

The coordinator is a very helpful, friendly lady.

See the above link for contact information. It's a strong, relatively overlooked program in my opinion. You'd see it all at HF.
