What's considered therapeutic...and how do you dose and titrate heparin?

I'm actually giving the presentation today. It's all done.. But I realized how little we really know about drug therapy. After 30+ years of Heparin thearpy, still, there is not a consensus on what's considered therapeutic.. there is not a standard sliding scale or nomogram. Every institution does it differently.

We still dose patients subtherapeutically...or overdose them and have them bleed out. And for those people who think pharmacists aren't necessary in healthcare setting.. they better think again.

I actually was recruited for a director's position that paid $90 per hour.. and it sure wasn't in Laguna Beach.. Can you afford to live in Laguna Beach with $90/hr?

Laguna Beach was a favorite place to go when I needed a break from studies back in my UC Irvine days.

Knowing me, and knowing the cost of living in OC...I'll be lucky to find a shack somewhere in the middle of the Cleveland National Forest should I go back there. 😉
