Hi,
Anyone here have any experience with hepatitis E(Endemic in india).I have a patient from india with hepatitis E diagnosis.A year after the diagnosis,he looks apparently okay with normal labs but still complains of dyspeptic symptoms which he attributes to the hepatitis(all the literature on hepatitis E states its self limited nature) so I am not sure whether his symptoms are stress related or a sequel of the hepatitis. Thanks for any useful ifo or insight.

Your'e right, Hep E is self limiting, and dyspepsia a year after Hep E in a patient with normal LFTs is unlikely to be a sequela of hep E infection.
This is true even in the few patients with fulminant hepatic failure during the initial infection and third trimester women with Hep E - a year out with normal LFTs = something else.
