Buffalo doesn't offer the site anymore. They use AADSAS instead. NOVA, Buffalo, and Pitts change the AADSAS status right on time.

I was told by a D1 at Michigan that last year they sent an email instructing the applicants to call. Once the applicant called the school they were told of their acceptance. Kind of a scary way to go about if you ask me.

Does anyone know when AADSAS will be updated on December 1st? When the clock strikes midnight?? At 8 AM in whatever time zone?

Just curious, so I don't go nuts, checking every 5 seconds.

its not like aadsas updates all the schools at once at a particular time. your status at a specific school will be updated whenever that school decides to enter in the updates. so, it will probably not happen at midnight for most schools, but more likely during business hours of 8-5.

Could we get this thing sticky? At least until the cycle is over. Sometimes I have a rough time finding it, and like it as a refference.

Thanks,and if nothing else BUMP

The orig. post is just edited based on the updates from our fellow SDNers!!!

Will any of the aadsas updates occur at midnight?

Whoever made the original list: when you say to call Marquette, "they want you to," do you mean call tomorrow (Dec 1st)? I really don't want to wait for a letter!

anyone know when LLU updates aadsas as creative8401 said?

any idea how Tennessee notifies? they do not use aadsas

Houston said they would send emails (not a letter like you have listed)

bump

No no. Somewhere in the thread they mention that you can't. Someone may have inserted that after December

Harvard said they'd mail although some ppl from last year said they'd call. So maybe call for acceptance and mail for waitlist/rejection?

I noticed on the list a couple of schools say they notify Nov. 30th. I realize some of this is due to snail mail... but why are only some schools allowed to notify 1 day early??? Also, How accurate is this list b/c I'm an Indiana resident and never heard anything about calling IU on the 30th when they open. I don't want to call on the 30th and them think that Im really confused whay day it is...

do you all know of any schools that call for rejections/ waitlists?

For anyone who is interested, I just talked to someone in admissions from UNC and they told me that the admissions commitee is meeting on Dec. 2nd and that they will contact applicants by phone on Dec. 3rd and 4th!

Awesome, thanks. I hear they only fill half the class through December and the second half after they have conducted the January interviews...

Ohio State: Phone call from Dean, Email, and Snail Mail (Dec 1 for non-resident, Dec 8 for resident)

Just curious, Does anyone know if this is accurate?? I don't remember them saying anything about a different acceptance date for in-state students at my interview??

When I interviewed at OSU they said they would notify us Dec 1st, never mentioned anything about different dates for IS and OOS

Does anybody know how the University of Mississippi notifies?

i wonder if this works the same way for post-december acceptances too

Is it true that we can call Nova and find out our status (ie acceptance) now.. given that we had our interviews already?

Nice thread. Any info on Canadian DS?:D

Dates might be a bit off, but this is how I remember it:

- UBC: e-mail, around mid-February
- McGill: check status online, don't remember when (maybe end of Feb)
- UofT: e-mail, around mid-April
- UWO: early acceptances end of April (e-mail & check status online), rest of acceptances end of June (e-mail & check status online)

you should check out www.premed101.com/forums for canadian dental school discussion!

actually BU emails this year, they're "going green"

Spoke with someone in the admissions office at BU and she said the emails are not automated but the admissions coordinator is going in tonight at around 11:30 to email initial offers :xf:

Good Luck everyone

We should go ahead and do another "list" for this year so the cycle next year has an updated version and doesn't have to scroll through the million posts :)
Here is the original minus all the 2009 updates ----
*Provide date, possibly time and means (snail mail, email, aadsas, phone call, etc)
*Like before, if you are adding something new, make sure to bold the added info (and unbold the previously added info)

did louisville or buffalo contact anyone like this thread said?

When I interviewed at OSU they said they would notify us Dec 1st, never mentioned anything about different dates for IS and OOS
Last year Ohio State had their final interview on Dec. 1, which was probably all in-state. I think that's why they didn't notify residents until a week later. Hopefully this year all acceptances will come out on the 1st since the last interview was 3 weeks ago... I can't wait another week!

ISIS did not update at Iowa at midnight... Still hasn't at 1230. I've checked :)
