Spherocytosis causes hemolysis in the spleen. So technically, thats extravascular.
 
It's both. The predominant location is the spleen due to macrophages (this is cured, as mentioned in the books, by splenectomy) and is consideredextravascular hemolysis. However, spherocytes are also more apt to rupture in small vessels as they're less flexible than bioconcave disks and is considered intravascular hemolysis.
