Hi all,

On JHU's med program, it says:

"Extension or evening courses taken in fulfillment of premedical course requirements are not acceptable unless they are identical to courses offered in the college's regular academic program."

http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/som/admissions/md/process/requirements.html

My guess is Harvard's program are evening, extension courses and are not identical to the regular academic program (so someone taking G chem 1 at HES is not the same as taking G chem 1 in Harvard undergrad).

Now some med schools don't care, but some do, is this JHU's particular case?

HES has had a pre-med program for years. They place students into all sorts of medical schools, including the top ones. The program is well regarded and known. Some of the professors are the same as at the college level. If you have a specific question as to how JHU will handle it, call their admissions office.
