I am interested in some informations about NBDE1...is it so hard as they say it is...I heard a lot about it but I want to ask thouse who already pass the NBDE1 is it true it's very hard?....is there any website where I can see a variance of NBDE? want kind of questions there are....how many questions and so one... how many month did you studie for NBDE1.

i hope to get an answer soon...thnx

It is a challenging exam. will not be tough if u plan n prepare well.
there are abt 400 questions, 100 in each subject...however, these questions are intermixed and you won't have se[erate sections on the subjects..just one long q paper..
some questions will be in the form of clinical vignettes where a patient history/scenario will be given and you have to answer a group of questions based on the information given.

I have heard of people studying 2 months and scoring 84 and people studying 8 months and scoring 94.... so the choice is urs.. evaluate urself and decide if u ready for the exam.
Do not give the exam if u r not fully prepared.

I did decks, kaplan and q papers....
I STRONGLY recommend first aid to NBDE..

Do these and you will be safe.

i m doing internship right now in dharmsinh desai dental college(DD university) nadiad..
i want to go USA after completing internship..
but i m too blank for this thing.. i have some questions .. if possible please guide me...

my internship will end on 5th may 2011.. many of university start their international program studies around june which is of two years... so should i go in june 2011 or 2012..?
nbde part 1 and part 2 can be given from india...?
after completing two year studies in USA wat should be my next step..?

NBDE exams can be given in US administered territories only. www.ada.org go to testing and check out the details.

now one thing which is running through my mind is "visa."
will they give visa if we have just applied for NBDE exam.. wat should be done...?

That depends on various factors..
Do you have family in the US? If yes, u can apply for a tourist visa and say u wanna visit them.
U can also tell them that u wanna go for the NBDE exam but make sure u ur application is full-proof in terms of financials and links to ur home country ( immovable property/ family etc etc)

OR, u apply for holidaying with family etc... so u can combine a family vacation with ur exam!!!

Just relax and get a hold..
Kaplan is a gud book and not a waste of time.. U shuld do it but focus more on DECKS and FIRST AID...
Keep atleast 1-1/2 months before ur exam for q papers only...
Organise ur day well and don't let many things distract u...
remember, people can only say things but ultimately u have to work hard and study..
golden rule - Revise revise revise!!

thanks for reply.. i dont have anyone there... so it is going to be tough for me.. i was thinking to take addmission in "public health" on basis of GRE and toffel and get student visa.. then i'll give exam and 'll change my course.. is that possible...?

if u pass u can not repeat the exam...so give a well prepared attempt the first time itself.
