Posts: 3 Foreign MD - Shadowing/Observation in the US

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I just completed my sub-spec in Cardiology and I am in the process of obtaining my PhD.
My area of work/interest focuses on arrhythmias, echo and such. I wonder if anyone would know of any shadowing/observing programs in the US, as I would like to spend 2-4 weeks at on of the hospitals seeing/learning new trends and techniques?
If such a standardized option exists, how do you typically "apply"?

Just to note - if a thread is not being answered, that does not meant it's being ignored. More likely than not, it's because no one on these boards actually knows.

Basically, there really isn't too much of an answer. The original poster of that message needs to just contact whatever department he/she's interested in, visit websites, etc. and ask if they will allow observerships. More likely than not, they'll say yes.
