HI disassociate?

According to # 65 in destroyer, HF cannot disscociate easily but in the explanation they say that HI is strong acid, but since I is an good leaving group would it not dissociate easily?

Sorry, I don't understand your question...
Just going to say: HI is a strong acid...and in water will completely dissociate. And yes, I is a great leaving group for the same reason that it is a strong acid. Which is due to I- stability. It delocalizes the neg charge so it is stable.
 
thanks that all i needed to know.. that I will ionize easier than F
