yeah, i think you do. 🙂

yeah, i think you do. 🙂

Miss Quackdentist is too nice. I do not think you have any shot at all. You need a 35/35/35 on the DAT. I also heard that they are making a dental hygiene degree + 3 years of dental-related work a prerequisite for admission to dental school. I am so sorry to break your heart. But I try my best to be as honest as possible. 😉

PS. Of course, you have a shot

everyone has a shot and every situation is different you...just dont worry about it all right now you will be fine i mean look at me. i didnt think that i would get any interviews and already have had three and 2 acceptances

 that was good. sorry, i guess i should have clarified...do you guys think i have a shot at ucsf or ucla? these two are my top choices...ucla moreso than ucsf. i'm just worried my gpa may be too low for either of these schools.

thanks for your input

this guy is right. you don't have a shot. go to law school.

With your DAT scores and the undergrad school you are going to, I think you have an excellent shot!

Do these types of threads bother anybody else, or am I just too up tight?

On your DAT score sheet, did you not notice that you were well above the 90th percentile? By the info you gave us, you and everyone else on SDN knows that you have a shot.

Tell us about the negatives of your application and then let us decide if you have a shot. Did you apply late? Are you going to graduate with a degree? Did you have any really bad semesters? etc.

Based on what you told us, you don't have a shot if you and I were competing for the last spot in dental school.

a bit harsh there, but fair enough. true, my DAT scores were above the 90th percentile, but last time i checked, a gpa like mine isn't that great...especially for schools like UCSF and UCLA, which is why i asked specifically about these two schools.

yea, i know i have a shot at a lot of the schools listed there...my question is whether or not i had a GOOD shot at UCLA or UCSF. i should have clarified this, my bad.

things have turned around since then, straight As this quarter and over the summer, but still i can't erase those grades.

i'm planning on applying for the 2008 cycle. evidently its a good idea to submit the application early, but i can't help but wonder if i'll be able to get in to UCLA or UCSF with that gpa, even if i apply at the earliest day.

anymore clarification needed?

just trying to give the kid a boost of confidence you ass

By speaking out of your ass...

JK...I know you were man. Just giving ya a hard time.

Tis the season to be merry you stupid immature idiots....😀 😀

Yes you have a chance. Type into the search function 'Do I have a chance' to preview others scores.

weaknesses? general chem, orgo C+'s. genetics...C. multivariable calculus...C. things have turned around since then, straight As this quarter and over the summer, but still i can't erase those grades.

Good clarification. You have a shot b/c your DAT scores are good, but I wouldn't say you have a GOOD shot. Don't make any other grade than an A for the rest of undergrad, then I would say you're chances would improve significantly. Straight A's the last few semesters looks really good (definitely better than straight A's the first few semesters and then B's and C's the last few semesters.)

as long as you show improvement in your grades. you def. have a GOOD SHOT.
