Hi All! How's everyone doing?

I would like to first introduce myself to the wonderful (and not to mention, very helpful!) people on this forum. I graduated from UCBerkeley, with a double major in political science and legal studies with a 3.3GPA. I have worked in many different areas including education, legal, and also business management. I originally planned to study the field of law, but soon found out that it was not for me. I also volunteered at a clinic for several years providing legal help for the homeless, many of these times also translated to providing help as a caseworker and assisting physicians which I found quite satisfying. These experiences along with many other reasons compelled me to change my career plans. I want to pursue a career in Pharmacy. Needless to say, I am a bit worried about the road ahead :-( I am in need of guidance from you guys :)

1. I was wondering whether or not I can become a competitive candidate for Pharmacy school, or is it a stretch for me?

2. I have taken a few pre-requisites for Pharmacy school during my undergraduate (math1A, chem1A), but I need to pretty much take everything else regarding math or science. Where would be my best choice for taking these classes? (Would I be competitive if I took classes at a community college? CSU?) Should I look into a post-bacc program such as UCBerkeley's pre-health program or SF State's?

3. Other than volunteering at a Pharmacy, what other activities can I engage in to help boost my chances of acceptance into a pharmacy school?

Thanks in advance, any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated for this noob :)

anyone can become a competitive candidate for pharm school, and it sounds like you have a minimal amount of pre-pharm classes completed, so just work hard to make god grades in those classes. Here are several other threads that may help answer some of your questions. Good luck!

I think that a lot of pharmacy schools will respect the fact that this is your second career path

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it. I am just a little worried financially.. Like if I took all the pre-reqs and was not able to get into a single pharmacy school.. That would just kinda suck. But I did more research, and I think it is possible!! :)
