I've been following this and other forums for close to a year, paying special attention to the "experiences" and "how i studied" posts.
So I've noticed there are certain topics/subjects repeatedly mentioned by test takers. Meaning many more questions from that topic appeared than one would expect, or more concerning, that there was something tested not in First Aid.
Point of this thread (I hope), is to collect the ideas, facts, topics, pictures that we should go over that may not be covered so well in First Aid. I'm a non-Caribbean IMG and few graduates from my school opt to pursue residency in the US. Thus, I have no help other than forums.So if you guys could ask your seniors/classfellow who already took the exam, about this stuff, or share what you know, it would be greatly appreciated.
Topics on my mind (from stuff I read online)
1 - Everyone's talking about molecular.... "know the CD's, the atypical ones too"..... which CD's should we know?
2 - Lab techniques and procedures. Any thoughts on what we should know (outside of First Aid)...
3 - Neuro CT/MRI - what resource should we use and which slides/cross sections are important.
4- Pelvic Anatomy?? - A few months ago, I read several people complain about some pelvic anatomy being tested, potentially outside of First Aid - this one REALLY concerns me.
5 - Is Uworld really like the test, or did u think that maybe 1/2 the questions are similar and half are totally different? (like is the test different now....)
6 - Please add whatever you guys have heard....
