So, do you guys think there is a hike is the # of MSTP applicants this year? (no source, pure speculation from reading other posts)

I feel like there are more applicants and then the quality is even higher.

Probably. But as an MD/PhD applicant, you shouldn't rely on anecdotal evidence 😉. Also, you're probably one of those quality applicants, so stay confident and good luck.

Many, but not all, programs are experiencing an increase in the number of applicants this year. There is unlikely to be any increase in the number of funded positions, so the acceptance rate will be lower.
