I have a 3.9+ right now, I've gotten As/A-s in every med school pre-req until now, all I have left is Organic II and Physics I/II.

My professors for Organic I and II are both teaching the material at a very basic level, and I feel that the MCAT might be way more difficult. I understand that these classes are all supposed to teach the same thing, but did anybody else experience this in undergrad where a class was way too easy and you're not learning much?

Also, my school also has a physics department that is known for being terrible.

Has anybody else encountered this problem? I can't complain too much because its helping keep my GPA high, but I feel like when it comes time to study for the MCAT it might come back to bite me.

Does anybody know if the amount of Organic Chem and Physics on the MCAT is going to increase or decrease with the new exam format? Thanks

The amount of organic will decrease but biochem will increase so more or less the same. MCAT chemistry is pretty basic compared to your typical college o-chem exam.

Physics as far as I know will remain mostly the same with a couple topics thrown out.

MCAT orgo is about really basic things. The orgo course I took is way harder than the MCAT.
Your super easy orgo class should prepare you well for the MCAT.

Thank you. I'm hoping I will grasp biochemistry as well as I have understood the rest of my biology upper level electives
