I have no idea what my high school class rank was, it's a question on a secondary though. Can I just guess? Do you think it's just for statistical purposes?

Guesstimate. I can't imagine any other reason than for statistical purposes they'd want that info.
I mean what does it really matter if you graduated 34th or 36th

A school actually asked that? What a stupid question
Are you sure that question was mandatory? My high school didn't rank at all.
Is it seriously required on your secondary? My high school didn't even do ranking.
I actually was able to find mine from my high school transcripts. Hilariously enough I graduated in the 90s, so these are some OLD transcripts. I had to get them last year to prove to my post-bac school that I had been vaccinated. See if you have a copy around. Otherwise I would think guestimating is ok.
Research purposes maybe?
