Guesstimate. I can't imagine any other reason than for statistical purposes they'd want that info.

Are you sure that question was mandatory? My high school didn't rank at all.
Is it seriously required on your secondary? My high school didn't even do ranking.
I actually was able to find mine from my high school transcripts. Hilariously enough I graduated in the 90s, so these are some OLD transcripts. I had to get them last year to prove to my post-bac school that I had been vaccinated. See if you have a copy around. Otherwise I would think guestimating is ok.
