Okay so I'm a junior in high school right now, and I just scheduled classes for next year, which are:

AP Biology
AP Physics: Mechanics
AP Spanish
Calculus
British and World Literature
American Government

AP/Honors classes I took this year were/are AP Psychology, AP Chemistry, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology.

I'm not a super smart overachiever like the majority of you on this forum. I'm making a solid B in AP Chem, and I have to try really hard to get that. I'm doing well in Honors Anatomy because I love what we're learning about. I love learning about the human body and its functions more than say doing a lab in chemistry. I'm doing okay in Pre-Calculus, but I know I could do better if a tried a bit harder.

I really don't know what to major in, though. I want to do something with science. I started out with wanting to be a doctor, then realized how impossible that is for me. I've considered pharmacy, but chemistry just isn't fascinating to me. I just need help on deciding a potential career for me. Should I go in to pharmacy even though I don't enjoy chemistry? Or will I end up hating it? Are there any other careers that you guys think might fit me?

Let me add that I am not good with standardized tests, either. I am taking the ACT for the first time this coming Saturday and I hope to get at least 25. My goals are not that high because timed tests are not for me.

Also, what do you think about my schedule? I understand it's not as challenging as it could be, but I feel like it's at the level I need it to be. Any advice? Thanks so much!

You are doing well! Your coursload is fine, just keep your GPA up.

Pharmacy is a good choice, keep in mind the job outlook isn't outstanding, but nothing will be the same by the time you graduate. If you aren't a huge fan of chemistry that is fine, but keep in mind at times your education will be a slog. You will have to fight through upper-level courses, but if you like the field, you will be fine.

What do you find objectionable about doctoring? I cant really recommend much until I have an idea. Although, Perfusionist is a solid choice.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate the advice!

So pharmacy isn't all chemistry? Like is anatomy and physiology still a big part of it? I am really interested in learning about the body, so that's where my main focus is. I can make it through the tough classes as long as I end up enjoying my job.

As for doctoring, I do not think I have what it takes to be a doctor, especially patience. I've heard a lot about med school, and I don't think I'd be about to survive all that.

Well, you come out of a PharmD program with an intimate knowledge of Chemistry. You are prepared for research, and also the management of patient's medications. I recommend to shadow a local Pharm. They are (generally) laid-back individuals, happy with their jobs. See if it is what you want.

As far as A&P go, you will get more emphasis on that as a Doctor/Nurse. Maybe Physical Therapy could be your thing?

Keep in mind, the road to Pharmacy is just about as long as to an MD/DO degree. Check out SDN's Pre-Pharm forum, lots more info there from people more informed than I.

Don't say that! Anyways it seems like you have been considering fields that do not require a certain major. Major in whatever interests you and then take the required courses need for any graduate program you want to get in whether it be pharmacy, dental, medical, or nursing school etc.
