Hi folks,
I was suspended once in high school as a sophomore due to academic dishonesty - the whole class was suspended since exams were leaked. I reported it when I was applying to colleges but aren't sure if I should report it to dental schools. When filling out AADSAS I just assumed they were asking me about college, so I said no to the academic dishonesty question.

a penny for your thoughts?

During my Rutgers interview, they said they contact all the academic institutions we were at for disciplinary reports. I asked about high school, and I think I remember them saying high school included. I'm not sure if all schools do this, or just Rutgers.

First off, Rutgers is very obsessive about these things, I think because of the scandals their students were involved in a number of years ago. I'm not sure what you mean by "they said they contact all the academic institutions we were at for disciplinary reports", though. You need to send in a signed report from each post high school institution attesting to your clean record (that's probably what you're referring to). You do NOT need to send in anything about your high school, nor are they doing that kind of digging on their own.

Yeah, I meant the signed reports or whatever.

Thanks for your response! they had the same sentence as AASDAD, "never subjected to blah blah blah at any school, college, or university" so I wasn't sure if I was lying when I said no, since high school is school....... What do you think?

I just googled this... I know this is not something that is super relevant to the OP question, but are scandals like this common with dental schools?

Nah. I think it’s more of a Jersey thing than a Dental school thing lol

happens quite a bit but nothing big recently. I know that administration at many schools "forgive" students or give them warnings if it's minor cheating.
